This is the bit where I talk about how experienced I am

I’ve been working in digital marketing for over 20 years, primarily in the SEO and local SEO space.   I’m a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Chartered Marketer, have an MSC in marketing, and I bring both academic and practitioner level marketing know-how to digital projects.

I’m a ‘Local Search Expert’ at Brightlocal, where I write and present courses for the Academy, and I’m a faculty member at LocalU.

I’m a consumer behaviour obsessive and a big fan of qualitative research, I’m fascinated by consumer motivations, values and decision making. In 2009 I co-authored a paper on ethical consumers and their flying behaviours which was presented at the Academy of Marketing conference. I love to use client data and insight to shape market offerings and marketing communications, and I’ll encourage you at all stages to ‘listen’ carefully to what your clients and potential clients are saying about you, your competitors, and your marketplace.

I’ve worked both client and agency side over these years, with the last 10 years spent running my own business offering freelance SEO and digital marketing services to a range of small and medium-sized businesses both in the UK and abroad.  I’ve worked with businesses to deliver positive life and business changing results for companies in tourism, hospitality, and e-commerce. As a seasoned marketer and a small business owner myself, I understand both the opportunities and the threats of the small business digital environment, and a thorough understanding of business objectives is always at the heart of what I do.

My primary specialisms are SEO and local SEO, and I work closely with a super skilled network of trusted partners to deliver a full range of digital marketing services.

I’m also able to offer bespoke training in SEO and can deliver courses to individuals and small teams, and you’ll also occasionally find me on stage at SEO conferences and meetups in the UK speaking about small business SEO and marketing.  You can read customer reviews of the services I offer clients here.
