I’ve an MSc in Marketing and over 15 years experience working in marketing related fields. I can bring both academic and practitioner level marketing know-how to digital projects.
On completion of my Masters I briefly dabbled with academia before making the decision to set myself up as an independent and freelance marketer based in a place that I love living; Pembrokeshire, in West Wales.
I work closely with a range of businesses both near and far geographically – including attractions, experience providers and PR agencies. Location really isn’t an issue – as long as you enjoy Skype and the joys of communicating with those in different time zones!
I’m a consumer behaviour obsessive and a big fan of qualitative research, I’m fascinated by consumer motivations, values and decision making. In 2009 I co- authored a paper on ethical consumers and their flying behaviours which was presented at the Academy of Marketing conference. I love to use client data and insight to shape market offerings and marketing communications, and I’ll encourage you at all stages to ‘listen’ carefully to what your clients and potential clients are saying about you, your competitors, and your marketplace. I can offer simple qualitative and quantitative market research to aid you in your business’ decision making processes.
I’m an SEO aficionado, but also enjoy working with organisations on most areas of digital marketing – from IA planning, Google AdWords, considering website usability and user experience, through to making sense of analytics. As a qualified generalist marketer I’m happy to provide input into most areas of small business marketing, and I have access to a super network of passionate and experienced specialist marketers who are also able to advise on online PR and strategic communications related matters.
When I’m not working you can find me running on the Pembrokeshire coastpath and generally making the most of the glorious Pembrokeshire coast and countryside.
